Q. Hey, anyone knows how to setup pptp server in Fedora Core 6? any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Note: I have found some info from google search, all of that is about set up a PPTP CLIENT to connect to EXISTING SERVER. that's not what's i'm looking for though. What i want to do is build a PPTP server on Fedora Core 6 itself.

How to connect a linux (fedora) machine to a LAN where the server runs with WindowsXP?
Q.
A. You need to clarify whether you want to just access the LAN (i.e. TCP/IP connection) or you want to join the Windows domain or workgroup.
For a TCP/IP connection all you need is an IP address (DHCP or static), subnet mask, gateway and maybe DNS servers.
To join a domain you'll need a Samba client (Smb4K, LinNeighborhood or similar). You will also need a domain account and correctlt configured Windows servers.
