What's the best laptop ~800$ or less? I will use it for light gaming, and will Run linux on it.?

Q. I want a dedicated video card, and my budget is slightly flexible if you really like something. I'll be dual booting XP and Ubuntu Linux. Are video cards upgradeable to dependent cards if it they're integrated?

A. Hey, how about the one I'm using? If you can get it, try a high-end Dell that's still running XP....I've got one that runs Vista, and despite what everybody's sayin about Vista, I haven't experienced random meltings of my motherboard or anything like that....just the minor annoyance of the UAC...anyhoo, anything in a laptop as is upgradeable as a desktop, but I wouldn't suggest a do-it-yourself approach on a laptop; get a tech to help you...everything's packed in such a small space, I would be a little worried myself about tinkering around in there....but yeah, late-model XP's should run now for around 800 bucks, like I said, I bought this one, runs vista, Dell Inspiron 1501, for $699.

What's The Best Operating System For Gaming? (Windows or Linux)?
Q. I'm soon planning to build a gaming desktop and i just want to know which operating system would be better if i used it for gaming and capable with lots of programs. So im question is basically is... What do you recommend?

A. Most games only run under Windows. Make sure that the games you want to play are available before choosing Linux.
